Hub Support Worker  – NJC Pay scale 11 FTE £22,129 pro-rata – 2 Years Fixed Term (possibility to extend)

We are seeking Hub Support Workers who can contribute to the delivery of Hub Services in our successful charity. We are a specialist sexual violence centre providing an exceptional standard of therapeutic support. We support all adult survivors of sexual violence and abuse. Our services are designed so that we support in ways that are safe and easy to access.

 

Location
Based at Notts SVS Services, 30 Chaucer Street, Nottingham, NG1 5LP with some working from home.

 

Salary and Benefits

NJC Pay scale 11 FTE £22,129 pro-rata for hours worked, Company Pension Scheme

Role 1

Monday 9AM-5PM (7.5 paid hours)

Tuesday 9AM-5PM (7.5 paid hours)

Wednesday 10AM-7.30PM (9 paid hours)

Thursday 9AM-5PM (7.5 paid hours)

Friday 9AM-5PM (7.5 paid hours)

 

Total hours = 39

 

Role 2

Monday 10AM-7.30PM (9 paid hours)

Tuesday 9AM-5PM (7.5 paid hours)

Wednesday 10AM-7.30PM (9 paid hours)

Friday 10AM-7.30PM (9 paid hours)

Sunday 9.45AM-1.15PM (3.5 paid hours)

 

Total hours = 38

 

 

Job purpose
The Hub Support Worker will provide sensitive, client-centred, non–judgmental support to survivors of sexual violence.  This will include providing support for clients accessing our services via telephone, email and online.

 

Responsibilities

  • To assist in establishing and modelling good practice in the support of survivors of sexual violence in the Hub
  • To action any safeguarding matters and report the same to the Hub/Helpline Coordinator for ongoing management
  • To assist in processing incoming referrals (including associated paperwork and data entry onto DPMS system) in a timely manner
  • To complete Hub Assessments and risk management plans

 

Essential experience, qualifications and skills

  • Experience of working with or knowledge of trauma and PTSD
  • Experience of conducting risk/needs assessments & management of safeguarding
  • An awareness and understanding of sexual violence and its impact
  • Counselling/support work experience
