Part-Time IAPT Counsellor, Fixed Term until March 2021 (with possible extension)

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated counsellor to join our team providing short-term counselling to survivors of sexual violence aged 18 upwards.

NJC Scale Point 26, £29,636 (pro-rata), 21 hours per week.

 

Location

Based in Mansfield.  Travel may be required as part of this role and so access to a vehicle is required.

 

Hours of work
21 hours per week, worked:
Monday 11:30am – 7:30pm
Tuesday 9am – 5pm
Friday 9am – 3pm

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide short term focused counselling therapy interventions (6-8 sessions) to survivors of sexual violence aged 18+ as referred by Insight Healthcare;
  • Ensure timely processing of all incoming referrals from Insight Healthcare in order to meet key performance indicators with regard to waiting times for 1st counselling appointment
  • To be responsible for the day to day running of the IAPT counselling service and to liaise with Insight Healthcare and NSVSS management in this regard
  • To be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the IAPT counselling service, including accurate data entry onto database systems
  • Conduct risk and needs assessments and formulate risk management plans using Notts SVSS Risk Management Policies & Procedures

 

Essential experience, qualifications and skills

  • Have a counselling qualification to Degree level
  • Have BACP or UKCP Accreditation (essential)
  • Be IAPT trained and/or experienced in working within the IAPT model
  • Be competent in providing short term counselling (6-8 sessions)
  • Be able to travel to outreach locations across the city/county as required
  • Have in-depth knowledge and experience of issues affecting people who have experienced rape, sexual assault and/or sexual abuse
  • Have excellent IT skills including database entry and retrieval of statistics
