Spiking is illegal.

Adding extra alcohol or drugs to someone’s drink, or injecting them with any substance, is known as spiking – and it’s illegal.

The law sees it as being as bad as using a weapon, and perpetrators can face up to 10 years in prison as a result…

It doesn’t matter what the victim or survivor was wearing, where they were, how much they had to drink or if they had taken drugs, nobody deserves to be spiked.

The blame and responsibility always sits with the perpetrator.
