Cyber flashing is a form of indecent exposure that takes place online. Most people wouldn’t expose themselves in public in a street or park, yet the sending of photos or videos of genitals online is disturbingly common.

The most frequent form of cyber flashing is the sending of so-called ‘dick pics’, but this kind of terminology often minimises the alarm, distress or humiliation that can be caused by such images.

Cyber flashing is illegal in the UK.
