A for Afterparty
Carrying on after a night out? Great! Going back to a person’s house for music, chatting, drinks or drugs can extend the party long after the money has dried up or the venue has closed.
Whether you have gone back to a date’s house, the house of a friend, a friend-of-a-friend or you are not quite sure, you still have the right to be safe. And if you are very drunk, out of it on drugs or you fall asleep on someone’s couch or bed that means you are unable to consent to anything.
It doesn’t matter whether you have gone back with someone you liked, you had the last drink or what people are doing around you, consent is always two ways. You are free to change your mind at any time. You do not have to do anything you do not want.
Check in with yourself, check in with the other person(s), regardless of how late it is.
